You don’t see this every day —

At dacha last week, a member of our family (who shall remain un-named) was cleaning the inside of the reservoir we use for the water system.

This Will Be Memorable

I received this from a friend at church today and wanted to share it —

On Easter  [my husband] and I will be in Myrtle Beach for my niece’s wedding. She is getting married in a peanut warehouse and everyone is wearing cowboy hats and boots, and we are all sitting on bales of hay. They are also leaving on a tractor. This should be exciting! Leave it to my family to be different. I wanted to throw peanuts at the bride and groom …. but she said no. Maybe it’s not classy enough…. but for pete’s sake she is leaving on a tractor!

Any suggestions on what could be thrown at the bride and groom as they make their exit on a tractor?

Travel Warning

The Government has issued a travel warning due to the bad winter weather.

They suggest that anyone traveling in the current icy conditions should make sure they have the following:

  • Shovel
  • Blankets Or Sleeping Bag
  • Extra Clothing, Including Hat And Gloves
  • 24 Hours Worth Of Food
  • De-Icer
  • Rock Salt
  • Flashlight With Spare Batteries
  • Road Flares Or Reflective Triangles
  • Full Spare Gas Can
  • First Aid Kit
  • Booster Cables

Gospel Bluegrass — It Is Well With My Soul

This is great stuff. It’s interesting to hear the story behind the song, and be SURE to wait for the harmonies.

Some of you may not know that I played a lot of Bluegrass music in my younger days (not so much any more). There is something about it that really touches my heart.
